We all know about the mighty facebook, and the rise of “Alexander the Great” , or rather i should replace Facebook with “Mark Zuck”. Alexander the great was an awesome warrior who was on a spree to win the entire world and be the greatest emperor of all times, but in vain it did not happen, so shall we say that similar fate would be awarded to Mark Zuck also.
THE FACEBOOK STORY Today Mark Zuckerberg (facebook) has changed the fate of Internet and so called social media, Today every blogger is writing about it and the hype has gone beyond reaches of any one. Facebook which was started in a small Dorm room of Harvard has taken over the web if not completely then a major part of it. Facebook was not the original concept it was first stolen from Winklevoss twins who were mark’s seniors and also the founders of “Harward Connection”, they got there compensation for the same , which was a whooping amount of $65 millions, awesome money which they might have not dreamt of earning with true potential of “Connect U” but then who cares, we have facebook and they have a claim over it.
This is really ironical that Mark Zuck is a celebrity today but is a cheater at the same time and this is public , Globally all the big media players covered the Trial and settelment between Zuck and Winkelvoss and then came The Social Network movie which did the final damage, today even public knows about this. Its was hard for me to figure out at the end of the movie to determine that who was the good guy or who was the bad guy in the movie, The sympathy was with “Eduardo Saverin” who was a great friend and also the founder member of facebook along with Zuckerberg but was Ducked by him, he was a classic example of back stabbing and the second from Mark Zuck in the tale so far.
Facebook was not a genuine idea anyways as the friendster and Myspace was already there and teens were flocking them so this means the ideation was original but the idea was not. In a same fashion that Colt was the one one who invented Gun but then came engineers who excelled the idea and game us AK-47
, Eduardo Saverin was a great guy according to me and according the script displayed in The Social Network”, he was a true friend, as when the idea of facebook popped up in Mark Zuck’s mind he was the first one whom he discussed the idea with and being a true friend Saverin agreed to the greatness of the idea, well at the age of 19 it was a tough decision to fund any friend’s idea with ones father’s money but Saverin did the same , He was the first ever investor and partner with 30% stake in Facebook however there was no writer clause for the same , but according to me only a true friend can agree to pay you such amount ($18000) without having a plan for revenues, it went ahead for few months and facebook started growing within the campus and then Mark met Sean Parker (Napster.com Fame) and the story changed completely.
Its great to be ambitious and we all are equally ambitions but is it fair to stab someone who is your best friend and someone who gave you wings to fly, imagine if Saverin would have said no to Zuck when he narrated the whole idea he would have never gone ahead with it as Mark was not financially stable to bear the costs on his own and getting the finances only on an idea was truly a herculean task those days, or another fate would have been That Zuck would have gone ahead with Winkelvoss brothers to create Connect U and probably today identified as one of the partners in it. Ha!!! It all sounds weird but this is true, Now imagine if Mark Zuck, Eduardo Saverin and Winkelvoss all were from Dubai (UAE) then the situation would have been like this, keeping the law system of Dubai in mind “an eye for an eye” then after losing the law suit to Winkelvoss, Mark would have been asked to create an equal big idea and give it back to Winkelvoss , isn’t it funny but that should have been the real justice. What is bigger the idea part or the execution part now opens a new debate in my mind, and believe me it’s quite difficult to answer this question.
What do you think about this ?
Now lets Peep what a bit into the major characters of “The Facebook Story” :
Mark Zuckerberg Mark Zuckerberg ( CEO Facebook.com )
Eduardo Saverin Saverin Eduardo ( CFO thefacebook.com )
Sean Parker Sean Parker ( Founder Napster.com)
Winklevoss Twins Winklevoss Twins ( Founders ConnectU )
So now we have read so much about This Mark Zuck that i am really in dilemma that whose side shall I speak for. What Mark Zuck has done very few has ever achieved , 100s of organisation spent decades to reach a $$$ billion turnover but facebook did this in mere 5 years. People call that the evil will always get punished at the end so lets see what happens to Mark Zuck, if he is an evil guy who cheated on so many then whats his fate in near future. !! Would love to read your comments !!

Tired of those long conversations on Facebook and Twitter? Looking for a hip-hop alternative? Now there’s a place. Call it Global 14 or “G14.” Either way, did music producer Jermaine Dupri really just create his own social network?
Jermaine Dupri, the man behind some of rap and hip hop’s greatest hits from Beyonce to Janet to Boyz II Men, is now behind the “coolest, hippest city” on the Internet. The Grammy Award-winning producer just officially launched a new website and social networking community called Global 14.
“Global 14 was created because of the increasing trend of ‘social notifying’ versus ‘social networking,’ says Dupri. “Social notifying is when people share information, such as in ‘Hey, check out this website.’ There’s no conversation or expectation of a response.” Continue Reading

Imagine logging into your Netflix streaming account using your Facebook ID, and watching Inception. When you’re done, another family member sits down, clicks and logs in with their ID, and looks at their own customized recommendations. This is what Netflix is planning with their announcement of entering the social media world, through Facebook.

Facebook has made it easier than ever to start a new page.
The new starter subsite has a visual guide that shows newbies exactly how a page will be named and classified on the site. Icons depict the different groupings of pages that new admins can select from to start creating a page.

Behind this the easier-to-use interface is a more detailed categorization scheme that makes sure new pages show up in the right place on the site.

The new interface also includes the opportunity to supply a current address for a local business that people would be able to check into using the geolocation service Places.

Do you think the new streamlined interface will motivate more people to start pages on Facebook?

The latest scam circulating on Facebook touts a Niki Minaj sex tape that doesn’t exist. Clicking through exposes you to malware and spam, and completing the survey makes a commission for the spammer while you get nothing in return.

The posts about the nonexistent sex tape include a message in all capital letters with poor punctuation. Clicking on the link takes you to a page that asks you to click on a share button, which puts three posts on your wall while making it look like you’re only putting one up.

The survey begins with a request for your contact information, followed by an ironic set of questions about which of the seven deadly sins you succumb to the most.

After you complete them, the application promises to tell you which of the seven only after you’ve looked at about a dozen different marketing promotions that all ask you for more information. I clicked “skip” on all of them, and that’s probably why I was eventually told that my sin is “sloth” — the furthest thing from what I’m really like in real life.
Have you seen posts about a Niki Menaj sex tape on your friends’ walls? Has anyone reported the scam to Facebook?

A survey of more than 2,000 mothers over the age of 40 found that a majority have more Facebook friends than their children, and that they know how to better take advantage of their presence on the site.
The U.K.’s Daily Telegraph reported the study, without including key like which journal published the findings and exactly how many mothers over 40 have more Facebook friends than their children. But the overall claims make sense nonetheless. Women with children younger than college age might not only have their own friends, but also their coworkers, their children’s friends, and their children friends’ parents among their contacts. Kids, on the other hand, generally have a much more limited social circle until they go to college. They also tend to stick with their own age group. It would be interesting to know, however, which group has more friends they have never met in real life, or that they met online. And who uses it as a dating outlet the most?
Tammi Williams, who conducted the study, told the Telegraph that she created six categories to explain how mothers generally use Facebook. The two most popular groups might surprise you:
Less popular than these two are ones that you’d expect to have the most friends on the site:
As I read and thought about these categories, I wondered why the study didn’t take into account how mothers negotiated their Facebook presence depending on whether they were friends with their children and extended family. Also, was there a specific group that was more prone to befriend their children and monitor their activities online, or is this something that all mothers do on social media?

Today Twitter is a rapidly growing Social Tool which is also a hit among Marketers. With its 20 million active user base it is loved by Search Engines as well.
That is an impressive no. of people sending millions of tweets. I think this is really a great platform for businesses to keep updated their followers about company’s new products and offerings who wish to follow them.
Even some time before, Google made an agreement with Twitter to show tweets in their search results. It means your tweets can be viewed as an unique listing in Google Search Engine which can help in increasing traffic on your website.
I think indexing of tweets in search engine offers a great way for businesses to show their presence in Google Search Engine. This is the best time to start optimizing your Twitter presence to maximize your results.
